Following speculation that Teen Mom: The Next Chapter might be canceled, another definitive piece of evidence has emerged. This new hint came in the form of star Ryan Edwards’ divorce documents.
This latest revelation has fans wondering whether this is really the end of the road for the famous series, which has been around in some form since 2009.
Has Teen Mom really been canceled?
Although MTV has not explicitly confirmed canceling Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, several hints suggest it has.
The latest big tell was in Ryan Edwards’ divorce documents. In them, he asked to pay less child support to his ex-wife, Mackenzie. The documents stated that MTV no longer employed Ryan, which was the reason for this.
“Said order was based upon Defendant’s income at the time ($13,333 per month), which included his earnings from his appearances on a certain television series,” the court document read. “Defendant is no longer earning income through that series, through no fault of his own.” (Via The US Sun).
This is not the only hint that the show is getting canceled. Previously, Briana DeJesus’ sister, Brittany, also mentioned that the show was canceled in a comment that she has since deleted.
Brittany took to TikTok and claimed that she was very upset. When a fan asked about her financial situation, she responded, saying, “I ain’t broke no more because I ended up getting my money. My sister doesn’t give me money, MTV gives me money LOL.” She added, “But the show canceled, so bye, bye to those checks LMAO.”
Moreover, reports claim that the end of Teen Mom was already in the books for MTV. A show insider reportedly revealed that the show will come to an end when the original kids turn 16.
In the meantime, until MTV confirms the status, it remains unclear. Despite hints that it may be over, no official confirmation has come.
