At the beginning of The Drama, we get to see the meet-cute of Charlie (Robert Pattinson) and Emma (Zendaya). Charlie sees Emma at a coffee shop, and he nervously goes up to talk to her, pretending to be familiar with the book she’s reading. From his perspective, it looks as though she’s completely ignoring him, so he retreats to his table. But he goes back to apologize, and for the first time, Emma realizes Charlie was trying to talk to her. Meanwhile, Charlie didn’t realize that Emma is deaf in one ear and had an AirPod in the other, and when Charlie gets flustered and overwhelmed, Emma kindly tells him to start over, that he should try again.
