President Trump Reacts to Supreme Court’s Decision to Block Missouri’s GOP-Favored Congressional Map

President Trump on Sunday morning reacted to the Supreme Court’s decision to block Missouri’s new Congressional map ahead of the midterm elections.

The US Supreme Court on Friday evening once again blocked Missouri from using its new, GOP-favored map.

This is the third time the Supreme Court blocked Missouri’s new map.

Last year, the Missouri House of Representatives, controlled by Republicans, passed a sweeping new congressional map that would reduce Democrat representation to just one seat.

However, the Missouri Supreme Court threw out the state’s new map that eliminated one Democrat seat.

Missouri took the fight to the federal courts and the Supreme Court twice blocked the new map.

On Monday, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals said Missouri’s current plan to use the old map (2022) that favored the Democrats for this year’s midterms violates the Constitution.

The three-judge panel included: Judges Loken (George H W Bush), David Stras (Trump) and Justin D Smith (Trump).

“This Court holds that Missouri’s current plan to use the 2022 map in the November 2026 general election violates the Constitution. Only use of the 2025 map complies with the Constitution and federal law. We affirm the district court1 and remand for entry of a permanent injunction,” the panel for the appeals court wrote.

On Friday evening, the high court blocked the Eighth Circuit Court’s order. There was no dissent.

The Supreme Court cited its previous concerns about changing the Congressional map after voting had already begun.

On Sunday, President Trump blasted the Supreme Court for overruling judges who came to the ‘correct decisions.’
