Peter Krause, Sam Waterston, & Star Wars’ Star’s New Peacock Show Finally Streams Today

Peter Krause‘s new Peacock show with Sam Waterston and Star Wars actor Charlie Barnett is out for streaming today. Line of Fire, a crime drama series created by Joshua Safran, premieres on September 21, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. It will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.

Krause leads this latest thriller about the Hollingsworths, a Washington, D.C.-based family of law enforcement agents who get caught in a deadly conspiracy that puts their lives and loyalties to the test. The drama is partly inspired by executive producer Jenna Bush Hager’s experience growing up in the White House under Secret Service protection as the daughter of former US President George W. Bush.

According to Variety, Line of Fire follows “a family of law enforcement agents that bridge personal differences and cross professional boundaries as they tackle cases for the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service, and Department of Justice. After a seemingly cut-and-dry case turns into a deadly conspiracy, they must use the expertise from a lifetime of protecting civilians and politicians to protect one another and bring the killer to justice … even if it means betraying their sworn code.”

Krauss returns to NBC with this series after his exit from 9-1-1, starring as the patriarch, Mike Hollingsworth, a veteran Secret Service agent. Waterston appears in a guest role as former U.S. President Thomas Barnes, who has a long history with Mike from their years together on the presidential protection detail.

Other cast members include Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom, and Charlie Barnett. Meanwhile, Chris Chalk and Campbell Scott will also make guest appearances in the show.

Season 1 of Line of Fire has a 10-episode order, airing new episodes weekly on Monday nights before heading to Peacock for streaming.
