Three British thrillers to watch after The Killing Kind

Netflix has a treasure trove of British thrillers you can watch.

The Gathering: This Channel 4 series is about ‘a violent attack on a teenager at an illegal beach rave [which] sends shockwaves of suspicion through a Merseyside community. As secrets and lies are laid bare, will the truth emerge?’

The Replacement: The three-part show follows architect Ellen (Morven Christie) who falls pregnant. When her maternity cover, Paula (Vicky McClure) comes onto the scene – soon the life she has built for herself is threatened.

Black Work: This show follows police constable Jo Gillespie (Smith), whose life is upended when she leans her husband Ryan (Kenny Doughty), an undercover cop, has been killed under mysterious circumstances.

One user, Tracey S, said the show became difficult to watch as the main character was ‘unlikeable’, an assessment some others agreed with.

Joe S criticised the plot of ‘meandering’ while Just S pointed out that despite the ‘excellent casting’, the plot felt it had some ‘loose ends’.

So, you’ll have to give the show a try yourself to see which side you land.

Morgan is a regular thriller star, most famously starring in The Fall opposite Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson.

In recent months, he has shown up in Irish series, The Boy That Never Was and BBC drama Dead and Buried opposite Annabel Scholey.

The Killing Kind is available to stream on Netflix now.
