Darren Bailey is set to announce shortly that he will run for Illinois governor once again. He was the Republican nominee for that position four years ago but lost in the general election to JB Pritzker. Bailey – and this is important to remember -- was Pritzker’s pick as the Republican who would be easiest to beat in the 2022 general election.
