WI: Verified Pet Depredation In Marathon County

On Sep. 1, 2025, USDA-Wildlife Services verified that a wolf depredated a pet cat in the town of Texas in Marathon County. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) encourages pet owners to monitor for wolf activity and exercise increased vigilance when pets are outside for extended periods of time, especially at night or during times of low visibility.
