Don’t expect Creepshow Season 5 as Season 4 officially ends it

According to Variety, the horror anthology series by Greg Nicotero, Creepshow, has been canceled at Shudder and will not have a Season 5. The update was shared by a source close to the network with the outlet.

Although the network has not revealed a particular reason for the cancellation of the series, the source said the series was only planned for four seasons. Season 4 of the series, which aired in 2023, was highly appreciated by critics. It went on to get a perfect score of 100 percent on the Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, on the Popcornmeter, the show had received 79 percent based on over 50 ratings.

Nicotero spoke about the show with Collider after the release of Season 4 and said, “I think, inherently, we’re paying tribute to George’s legacy all the time by continuing Creepshow. I really think that by just Creepshow existing, we’re continuing the legacy and paying tribute to it.”

The director further added that what separates Creepshow from other anthologies is that “there aren’t any rules.” He shared, “You can have one that’s a comedy, you can have one that’s suspenseful, you can have one that’s got a dark ending, you can have one that’s fun, and they all fit within the world because the original framework was it’s a comic book. So, every story can be a little bit different.”
