Taking over from Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg would be difficult on its own. Doing it after The Social Network makes the challenge even bigger for The Social Reckoning. Eisenberg establishes his version of Zuckerberg almost immediately in the opening breakup scene, where he interrupts Erica, jumps between subjects, and keeps trying to argue his way through a conversation that is already falling apart. That restless, combative energy follows him from the dorm rooms to the depositions and makes nearly every conversation feel like something Zuckerberg is trying to win.
