Why Beauty in Black Season 2 has released just 8 episodes

Like Season 1, Netflix has released only the first half of Beauty in Black Season 2. The streaming giant has yet to announce a release window for Part 2. But going by the pattern of the last season, it could arrive sometime in 2026.

Created by Tyler Perry, Beauty in Black centers around two women, Kimmie and Mallory. Kimmie is a stripper, trying to make ends meet after her mother kicked her out of the house. And Mallory is a successful businesswoman who goes home to a dysfunctional family and a difficult marriage.

In Beauty in Black Season 2, Kimmie gets married to Horace Bellarie and becomes the new COO of the company. Not everyone’s happy about it. Horace’s sons, Roy and Charles, are angry that they didn’t inherit the business. The list also includes his brother, Norman, and ex-wife, Olivia.

While Horace is trying to help Kimmie with the business, she has plans of her own. On the other hand, Mallory isn’t too happy about all the changes, especially being dethroned by Kimmie.

Meanwhile, Roy caught Charles in the act with Attorney Varney and told the whole family. Later, Charles killed three people when they tried to rob him of his watch and other valuables, and asked Varney to help him with it. At home, Rain, Kimmie’s best friend, was out on a revenge quest, which led to a violent confrontation with people who tried to disfigure her. 

Rain also pushed Jules’ son, Glen, out a window when she mistook him for sexually assaulting Kimmie’s sister, Sylvie. Thankfully, he isn’t dead. Meanwhile, Horace tried to get Angel killed, which did not go as planned.

With all these plot twists in Part 1, Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 2 is shaping up to be an even more exciting watch for the fans.
