Supernaturalremains one of the CW's most successful television series, but its spin-off, The Winchesters, failed to capture the same magic. Created by Eric Kripke, Supernatural premiered in 2005 and ran for an impressive 15 seasons, making it one of the longest-running fantasy TV series of all time. Following the adventures of monster-hunting brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester, Supernatural developed a passionate fanbase who continue to sell out convention halls, even today. While its popularity has been a way to continue the fandom after the show's end, it hasn't translated to other franchise projects consistently.
