Disney+ and Hulu, both owned by the larger Disney conglomerate, have some major releases coming to their platforms in August 2026, including new shows and films, along with some incredible live sports events. While Disney+ and Hulu remain two separate platforms, the content on both cross over, allowing Disney+ subscribers to see Hulu content on the platform. It's likely that they'll eventually fold into one platform with a Hulu-specific production side, but for now, they remain separate and bringing different content to viewers as they move forward. Disney+ often sees more nostalgia-based programming and skews younger that Hulu's traditional audience.
