‘Weapons’ Passes Final Global Box Office Milestone Ahead of Digital Debut

As it prepares to bow on home video this week, director Zach Cregger’s breakout horror hit, Weapons, passed what will probably be its final global box office milestone. The movie has already exceeded expectations, and Warner Bros. would’ve assumed that it would take a hit this week from the studio’s own The Conjuring: Last Rites. Despite the competition, Weapons held on to a spot on the top five list at the domestic box office, taking its running haul past the $140 million mark. It will likely hit the $150 million milestone before it wraps up its run for good.
