What started as a breakout scene from one of streaming’s most anarchic shows has now been reborn with a familiar, beloved twist. The viral The Boys scene recently met its Supernatural counterpart as Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins slipped back into Dean, Sam, and Castiel.

The Boys Season 5 has delivered plenty of surprises, including a Supernatural reunion with Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins. The fan-favorite trio finally shares the screen in Episode 5, and the fandoms are losing their minds over it.

Although The Boys and Supernatural share a creator in Eric Kripke, their writing and worlds are miles apart. Hence, the outtake Misha Collins posted to Instagram feels hilarious. The trending video shows Padalecki, Ackles, and Collins slip right back into their roles as Sam, Dean, and Castiel while throwing in Supernatural references to Chuck and Busty Asian Beauties.

As expected, the blooper is a hit with fans, with one writing, “I actually got so emotional just watching this holy c**p.” “I have cried,” echoed another. “Castiel and the Winchesters return once again!!!” read a hype comment. “I understand all those references,” wrote a Supernatural stan. “Straightup teleported me to my angsty teen days,” reflected another.

However, the trio got pretty brutal with each other on the actual show. In the episode, Ackles’ Soldier Boy and Collins’ Malchemical fight Padalecki’s Mister Marathon, who is ultimately killed by Homelander, played by Antony Starr. It’s exactly the kind of crushing moment one would expect from the show. Ironically, that brutality also served as a major Supernatural reunion.

The Boys’ fifth and final season is streaming exclusively on Prime Video. New episodes drop weekly on Wednesdays, with the season finale landing on May 20, 2026. After that, the full series will be available on the platform.
