Quentin Tarantino’s 2012 Western Django Unchained is climbing up Peacock’s U.S. Top 10 chart more than a decade after its release. The action film currently ranks at No. 5 in the country, after re-entering the chart at No. 8 on September 3, 2025. The Jamie Foxx starrer was produced on a $100 million budget and earned over $426 million worldwide. Upon its release, the film was met with boycotts and bans in China for its graphic violence and controversial portrayal of slavery. However, it always largely pulled through with both the audiences and critics and evidently still holds an 87% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.
