Just a week after his death, reports have suggested the Pentagon could use Charlie Kirk to help recruit young people into the military to ‘honour’ his legacy.

Two officials told NBC that new slogans could include ‘Charlie has awakened a generation of warriors’, as a sort of ‘call to service’.

It’s thought the Pentagon might join forces with Turning Point USA, the organisation Kirk began, to enter schools and help recruit people into the military.

Despite the pomp and circumstance of his death, including being flown on a Presidential plane, Kirk never served in the US military.

The news came after today, Charlie’s widow, Erika, was announced as the new CEO of Turning Point USA.

In a statement, the organisation said: ‘It was the honour of our lives to serve as board members at Charlie’s side. Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one.

‘He worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests.

‘And now, it is our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board for Turning Point USA.

‘All of us at Turning Point USA have a special role in carrying Charlie Kirk’s mantle and completing his vision of bringing us all closer to our Lord and fostering a prosperous country for generations to come.

‘The attempt to destroy Charlie’s work will become our chance to make it more powerful and enduring than ever before.’

In addition to founding Turning Point USA, the dad-of-two was a close ally of President Donald Trump and an infamous commenter on issues such as trans rights and gun control.

He was visiting Utah Valley University as part of his group’s ‘America Comeback Tour’ when he was shot in the neck in front of horrified students.

Announcing his death, Trump wrote on Truth Social: ‘The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.’
