UK population set to peak 42 years EARLIER than previous estimates, new data shows, including a major turn-around in number of people living in England

The Office for National Statistics said the population is set to climb from 69.3million in 2024 to an estimated 71million by 2034 - 1.2million lower than in previous predictions.
