TikTok Celebrity Discussion Post

Recently there has been news about the popular stimulating app being doomed in coming months. The U.S passed a bill to ban the app in the country, unless the Chinese connected company Byte Dance sells within a certain time frame. Even though owner of the app Zhang Yiming has adamantly denied any connections or allegations it’s sharing any data info with the government of China.

The app is well known for allowing anyone to create varying types of instant content daily with the potential to go viral, trend or even become “internet famous”. Which has also been an outlet for celebrities and influencers to reach a broader audience and make financial gains.

Right now, if you go on and search your favourite actors, musicians etc. you can find entertaining videos or fan “edits” of others enjoying and appreciating their work most of the time.

But now there is a new trend with jarring posts becoming more, more popular of accounts obsessing over public faces to the point of using music and commentary explicitly depicting the physical attributes of their bodies and aggressive sexual acts they want to do to them. To the point of it bordering on fantasizing about SA with the subject of their content and it’s a problem. Examples: “I want to ride his d#$%” & “I’m c233ing” “I’m strapping them down” etc. (And much more that I just don’t care to type out.)

What’s worse is now the use and implementation of new AI voice technology that has now allowed anyone’s voice to be used currently without legal permission to say anything, including unethical and sexual descriptions.

So, should TikTok fade into existence, or will they be forced to sell hopefully a more mindful company for the future? I guess we will just wait and see.

This has been a thing I've been discussing with other people and on social media and thought it was interesting. Sorry Mods if this is terrible editing. I hope this is better.<\i>
