Live-action adaptations are some of the most eagerly anticipated projects of die-hard fans of the respective source materials. However, at the same time, such an endeavor is fraught with danger, as the same fans can quickly turn should they perceive that the source material isn't being faithfully adapted. It does help when the lead role of such a venture goes to an actor with a deep love and reverence for the original stories, and this is what Netflix had secured when it first cast Henry Cavill to play Geralt of Rivia in its fantasy series, The Witcher.
