Traders,

As always, I look forward to sharing some of my top ideas with you for the upcoming week. Let’s get right into it.

Momentum in GOOGL: Awesome beat and continuation in GOOGL and Thursday. And just about, give or take, an inside day on Friday. That action on Friday is what has me interested in a potential intraday long, if it confirms intraday. Ideally, I’d like to see a quick flush into 380 – 379 and VWAP reclaim, which would confirm buyers are still in control and a multi-day level stand firm. If that were to happen, I would enter long against LOD or a prior 5-min higher low, and look for an add above Friday’s resistance for continuation higher.

Consolidation Breakout Long in CRWV: A bit more nuanced, as CRWV has earnings around the corner, on May 7. So, ahead of earnings, I’d be open to momentum long trades intraday if it’s holding up well and showing relative strength to some peers. Alternatively, the bigger idea and trade would be post-earnings, if this gaps and clears 125 resistance for a potential breakout trade. In that case, I’d look for a gap give and go setup or resistance firms as newfound support to enter long.

Consolidation Breakout in MP: Similar to CRWV, if I am not mistaken, it’s set to report next week on the 7th. What I like about the chart ahead of earnings is the tight base and coil near converging moving averages. It also has a history of excellent momentum and follow-through when it breaks out of bases. Ahead of earnings, I am open to momentum trading it on the long side, similar to CRWV. Post-earnings is where I’d be more swing-inclined if we base above the breakout spot and provide a valid entry intraday following the report.

Additional Ideas on Watch:

XNDU: Broke out of a nice, tight flag on Friday. I think that if this bases above 36 – Friday’s high, steadily holding above VWAP intraday, I would look at buying momentum breakouts intraday for continuation to the upside… feeling squeezy to me.

BE: Given the extension from all key SMAs, not something I am looking to swing at these prices. But, if it bases above Friday’s high, I’d look to get long on any intraday breakouts for continuation to the upside.

LUMN: Beautiful looking HTF chart and looking to get long above Friday’s high / higher timeframe resistance near 9.5 – 10.

CAR: Interested in an intraday long trade if this can clear and hold above 200, which has acted as major resistance for the past 5 trading sessions.

As I mentioned in my previous IA meeting, there are A TON of good-looking charts right now across the semiconductor, space, and AI cloud industries. But, with many extended, patience is vital for me. So, instead of chasing new highs, on the many names shares in my recent meeting, I’m looking to wait for new bases and flags to develop over the next 2+ weeks before entering fresh swing longs again in the leaders mentioned.
