The Voice Season 30 has appointed a Country singer as a brand-new coach, who will be joining Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. The singer announced his new career move on social media by sharing a voicemail from Clarkson.
Riley Green joins The Voice Season 30
Riley Green took to Instagram to share Clarkson’s voicemail, in which she welcomed him to The Voice Season 30 and expressed her appreciation for his music. In the voicemail, she reveals that though she hasn’t met Riley yet, she is super excited to coach alongside him. She said that she was “stoked” after knowing about his casting, as she is a big fan of his music and believes it’s “so good.”
She further added, “You probably know that, because I’ve covered your songs, big fan. But, needless to say, fan and all, it’s a competition. So I, as a future friend, I sent you something, a little gift, while you’re out on the road doing shows to get your head in the game for The Voice coming up, because I think you’re gonna need the practice, because team Kelly’s gonna whoop that ass.”
Green further wrote in the caption that maybe now they all can start referring to him as coach and displayed enthusiasm to see everyone this fall. This is a prominent gig for Riley, as this is his first time being a judge on a reality show.
The upcoming season will feature four coaches, three of whom have already been announced, while the last one is yet to be disclosed. The recent album Riley Green released was his third studio album, Don’t Mind If I Do, which consists of 18 tracks. He also recently released the music video for “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay,” featuring Carly Pearce.
