The Traitors has been a resounding success for the BBC since it made its UK series debut back in 2022.

With the Celebrity Traitors’ second season currently ongoing and another series due in 2027, there are no signs of the show slowing down any time soon.

With its game of deceit and high-pressure missions, seeing contestants both trying to raise money and figure out who the Faithful and the Traitors are amongst them, it is a show where so many of us have thought: how well would I do?

Well, you needn’t ask the question any longer, as you could find out for real how well you’d fare in the castle, as the applications for the sixth series are now open.

How to apply to The Traitors UK

You can put yourself forward for consideration for the sixth series, which will start filming in the summer of 2027, over on the Studio Lambert website right here.

Like all previous versions, filming will once again take place at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

‘However, hidden amongst the players are the ‘Traitors’. The Traitors meet in secret and decide who to eliminate from their fellow players known as the ‘Faithful’. The aim for the Traitors is to stay undetected until the end, the aim for the Faithful is to banish all of the Traitors before the game ends. Throughout the series, there will be twists, turns, rigorous challenges, shocks and surprises for the players.

‘Expect trickery, betrayal and backstabbing. Do you have what it takes to play?’

You have until May 31, 2027, to apply, so there’s plenty of time to consider your application – and of course, your game plan.

When is The Traitors UK season 5 coming out?

You may of course be wondering, wait, season 6? What happened to 5!?

Well, that series is very much in the can, having filmed across summer 2026.

Claudia Winkleman will be back on hosting duties, and while no start date has been confirmed, series 4 kicked off on New Year’s Day, meaning it’s likely we’ll see the series in January 2027.

How much is The Traitors prize money?

The most anyone could win on The Traitors UK is £120,000.

Of course, the jackpot will only hit that figure depending on how well the contestants do in the missions across the series.

The final jackpot will then either be taken home by the last person standing, or split among the group should more than one Faithful – or traitor – remain.

In series 1 of the UK show, the winning Faithfuls, Hannah Byczkowski, Meryl Williams, Aaron Evans, split the jackpot of £101,050.

Series 2 saw Traitor Harry Clarke take home the whole pot of £95,150.

Series 3 winners: Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown split £94,600, while series 4 victors Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby split £95,750.
