The Three Stooges remains a pop culture phenomenon after 100 years. While that staying power in the zeitgeist alone may tell the story of a grand career and much success, that isn’t exactly the case. Yes, they were known for pie fights throughout their many shorts, but The Three Stooges were built on much more. They were a family, and worked hard to move their vaudeville act onto the screen and garner the attention of millions. Moe, Larry, and Shemp were the original Stooges, with Curly stepping in when Shemp wanted to pursue a solo act.
