The shocking truth of Jodie explodes in Coronation Street and extreme violence follows

Unhinged schemer Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) is about to have her darkest secret exposed, when an unwanted face from her past leads to blood spilled on Coronation Street.

The long-lost sister of Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) has had a strange plan from day one.

Ever since she escaped from the back of Emmerdale butler/criminal mastermind Graham Foster’s (Andrew Scarborough) van, Jodie has made it her mission to inveigle her way into Shona’s family, with the secret goal of seducing her husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and daughter Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) against her.

The reason for this? Revenge!

It all goes back to the Ramsey girls’ unhappy childhood, when teen mum Shona ran away from home, leaving Jodie to deal with her abusive dad and enabling mother.

Festering with resentment after all ideas, Jodie’s determined to get the happy home life that she never had… by stealing Shona’s from right under her nose.

It’s a classic Cuckoo-in-the-Nest soap trope. But your standard soapland psycho usually puts all their energy into targeting one victim. Jodie’s all over the place! Somehow in her busy schedule of revenge and subterfuge, she has the time to torment her fellow Weatherfield residents too.

Viewers have been thoroughly freaked out by Jodie’s mystery box, filled with trinkets stolen from her neighbours like a magpie in a jewellers’.

After clashing with Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), Jodie snuck into the Alahan household and cut Bernie’s face out of her wedding pictures. She then placed one of the images inside what appears to be a box full of items belonging to her past victims. Also inside was a book stolen from Brian Packham (Peter Gunn). She also stole Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) police badge just to cause chaos with it.

So far, nobody on the Cobbles is aware of Jodie’s Machiavellian plotting.But that could be all about to change. After all, Carla Connor’s (Alison King)marriage to Lisa Swain is just around the corner, where one unlucky cobbles character will be murdered – and Jodie is one of five Corrie villains who could be for the cop.

Maybe – after this jaw-dropping revelation.

So far, the only major skeletons in Jodie’s closet are the revenge plan itself, her shady connection to Graham Foster and the lies she told about a domestically abusive relationship to hide it from Shona, possibly putting her own dad in the psych ward, and the aforementioned box of stolen trinkets.

Until now.

Upcoming episodes of Coronation Street will see Jodie scramble to protect her darkest secret yet when an unwelcome face from her past returns to the Cobbles.

While going through the post, Jodie’s blood runs cold to spot a flyeradvertising a haulage company called Haul North. Why is Jodie so spooked?

But the worse yet is yet to come thanks to the return of Olivia, one of the children who Jodie used to look after as a nanny. Scary Poppins is not best pleased when Shona invites Olivia to stay for tea…

… and it soon becomes clear why when Jodie returns home to find Oliva going through her bag!

Furious Jodie confronts Olivia, who admits that she knows how Jodie stole her Dad’s hard drive and she was hoping to steal it back in a bid to impress him. The sharper fans among us may remember that hard drive is one of the items in Jodie’s box of trinkets… but just exactly what is on it?

For Shona’s benefit, Jodie spins some cock and bull story about how Olivia’s dad is her violent ex boyfriend and how she stole his hard drive because he wants her dead. Terrified for her sister, Shona points out to Jodie that now Olivia knows where she lives, her Dad could show up at any moment. She urges Jodie to run away for her own safety.

But there’s one loose end to tie up. What will Jodie do to Olivia?

And what about her father, the owner of the hard drive screaming ‘plot device?’ Has he already found her?

Whatever’s on that hard drive, soon afterwards, somebody dies at Carla and Lisa’s wedding. Does someone close to Jodie find the secret on that hard drive… and does that secret get her killed?
