Meeting your boyfriend's family for the first time is always a daunting experience, and it's made worse when your first impression is bad. Adapted by Naomi Sheldon and Gabbie Asher based on a novel by Michelle Frances, The Girlfriend is a psychological thriller that depicts the chaotic spiral out of a caustic relationship between Olivia Cooke's Cherry and her new boyfriend's mother, Robin Wright's Laura.
