Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is on the warpath in Emmerdale following the death of Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), holding Caleb Miligan (William Ash) personally responsible for the tragedy that befell his one true love.
Dawn died in emotional scenes after Jimmy King (Nick Miles) unintentionally drove his car through the marquee where she was set to wed Joe.
Jimmy passed away following the incident, with Dawn and Joe managing to survive the blast before they were taken to Hotten General to be treated for their injuries.
Dawn went into labour and delivered their baby. In a devastating twist, however, she passed away moments later, much to the horror of Joe, who is on a revenge mission to get justice for his beloved wife-to-be.
With Caleb having orchestrated the plot to get Dawn out of the village, Joe made it quite cleat that he will make him pay for what he’s done. He also blames Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), who attempted to whisk Dawn and the kids away from the village prior to her death.
Elsewhere, DS Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) – who has a vendetta against Kim Tate (Claire King) – believes she’s worked out a way to take down her nemesis once more and all, with the intention to pin the blame for Jimmy and Dawn’s deaths on the Home Farm legend.
The question is: will she follow through?
What happens next in Emmerdale? Spoilers for Tuesday, September 1 episode
In tomorrow’s episode, DS Ramsden interviews a villager at the station and let’s just say that she relishes in inflicting emotional pain upon the character in question.
The question is: just who is it that she’s got in the interview room?
A suspect in the investigation into Dawn and Jimmy’s death, perhaps? Or has she followed through with her plot to frame Kim and thus dragged her to the station?
We’ll just have to wait and see but what we can tell you is that a flashback will subsequently unfold, confirming that there is way more to this relationship than anyone ever knew.
Intriguing.
Joe, meanwhile, will no doubt continue to plot his revenge against Caleb but, given that he’s struggling to build a relationship with his newborn son in the wake of Dawn’s death, can Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) help him see that he needs to be there for his child?
And as for Gabby?
It’s clear that something is playing on her mind and this very much continues throughout the week, as the something in question weighs heavy upon her.
Did she have a role in what happened to ‘uncle’ Jimmy?
Emmerdale airs these scenes Tuesday, September 1 at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX or YouTube.
