Curious about where the real-life Judy Warren is today? The Conjuring: Last Rites introduced viewers to Judy, the daughter of Ed and Lorraine Warren. She plays a key role in the final terrifying case involving a demonic mirror, forcing the family to confront their past. In the movie, Judy marries her boyfriend, Tony. However, curiosity has built up about Judy’s current whereabouts.
So, is Judy Warren dead or alive in real life? Here are the details.
Is Judy Warren alive, and where is she now?
Judy Warren, also referred to as Judy Spera, is alive. In the late 70s, she met Tony and later got married. They continued the Warrens’ legacy by running a paranormal agency, New England Society for Psychic Research.
In a conversation with Den of Geek, Judy Warren revealed that she spent most of her time living with her grandparents while her parents were traveling for work. Although she stayed with them often, she didn’t feel completely comfortable in the house and had trouble sleeping alone. She also explained that for most of her life, she stayed away from anything paranormal due to fear. However, she remains aware of the importance of carrying forward the iconic legacy her parents left behind.
After her marriage, she started the NESPR agency with her husband, Tony, keeping the legacy of her parents alive. According to the website, the agency’s aim is as follows: “The New England Society of Psychic Research carries on the exploration and investigation of paranormal and demonic entities as initiated by Ed & Lorraine Warren.”
In the same interview, Warren shared that she had developed her own psychic abilities, though she wasn’t sure if they had anything to do with her mother’s clairvoyant gift. She said, “I had things happen that I’ll say, ‘Oh, my gosh. How did that happen?’ I don’t know if you want to attribute it to being anything to do with my mother’s gifts, but I have had some things happen. It’s a lot of dreams that are very strange, and warnings – from my father.”
In 2019, the Warrens’ Occult Museum, led by Tony and Judy, was closed. Now, Matt Rife serves as the museum’s legal guardian. However, ownership of many of the haunted items, including the infamous Annabelle doll, still belongs to the couple.
