It’s no secret that The Boys is one of the top-performing franchises for Prime Video. In the several years since the first season of the satirical superhero series reared its bloody head on the streamer, the flagship show has gone on to break viewership records and solidify itself as a massive earner for the platform. And, when fandom and money enter the picture, there’s one thing you can count on — spin-offs. So far, The Boys has seen two successful offshoots, the 2022 adult animated anthology series, The Boys Presents: Diabolical and the college-set drama Gen V, the latter of which will soon celebrate the arrival of its second season. With a prequel titled Vought Rising on the way, fans are eating so well that they might have forgotten about The Boys: Mexico — a project that was first announced back in 2023 with Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna attached as executive producers.
