Thunderbolts*recently debuted on Disney+, and while the movie was well-received by critics (88% on Rotten Tomatoes) and made a reasonable amount of money, it didn’t make Avengers: Endgamemoney or Spider-Man: No Way Homemoney and therefore somehow stands as a relative disappointment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon. Still, it was an immediate hit when it landed on streaming, and we know that the movie’s team will come back in Avengers: Doomsday, so it’s safe to assume that Thunderbolts* will have a stronger legacy than the initial impressions might’ve suggested. And that’s a good thing, because Thunderbolts* happens to be one of the best superhero movies since Endgame (the high point of the entire genre) and it could even provide the template for how to fix the MCU.
