Action movies aren’t always on the shorter end of things, but it can be nice when they are, to be perfectly blunt. Most action films don’t really have to be all that ambitious or mind-blowing narratively, and if the stakes are there, the hero is decent enough, and the villain sufficiently deserving of a punch or three to the face, then maybe that’s enough.
