Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran starred in Karthik Gattamneni's action fantasy flick Mirai, which opened in theatres last Friday. Within five days of its debut, it has already surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone due to the positive reception it received. Teja disclosed that attempts are being made to pirate the movie online during a Hyderabad event honouring the movie's success.

During the event, Teja disclosed that some individuals have been attempting to pirate Mirai, even on YouTube and Instagram. He said, "I have to tell you something really important today. In many sites online, including Instagram and YouTube, attempts are being made to upload the film. But, I have a strong feeling that this film can be best enjoyed in a theatre with the audience. I am trusting the audience not to give in to piracy and watch this only in theatres. You're missing out on an experience if you don't watch it in theatres, it won't be the same on TV or phone."

Teja insists on no ticket hike for Mirai

The actor said he was determined to keep the price of the movie from going up so that people could see Mirai in theatres with their families. "Before the film's release, I requested producer Vishwa Prasad garu and distributors not to increase the ticket prices for this film. It's because I wanted people to enjoy it at the theatres with their families. We have holidays coming up, I promise you will have a fantastic visual experience at the theatres," he said.

South upcoming releases

Sujeeth's They Call Him OG, starring Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi, and Neeraja Kona's Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Raashii Khanna, and Srinidhi Shetty, are scheduled for release in the coming weeks. Telusu Kada and OG will be released in theatres on October 17 and September 25, respectively.

Wishing luck to both the film teams, Teja said at the event, "At the same time, we have OG releasing next week. We are all waiting for it. We are also waiting for Telusu Kada from People Media Factory (Mirai's production house). I wish them all the very best."

Mirai box office collection day 7

On its seventh day (Wednesday, September 18, 2025), Mirai made about Rs 0.31 crore in India, according to a Sacnilk report. With this collection, the movie's expected domestic net profits are Rs 61.5 crore.
