Sydney Sweeney’s Successful Erotic Thriller Smashes Massive Global Box Office Milestone

Sydney Sweeney’s new erotic thriller, which emerged as one of the biggest breakout hits near the end of 2025, has just passed a massive global box office milestone. Lionsgate has announced that The Housemaid, co-starring Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar, has now grossed over $200 million at the worldwide box office. Lionsgate also reportedly only spent around $35 million on the making of The Housemaid, meaning the film has earned more than five times its budget, and well over double its break-even point. It currently sits at scores of 73% from critics and 92% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
