Suspension Calls Mount Against Luis Suarez After Inter Miami Star’s Disgusting Action Against Sounders Staff

The stage was set for the 2025 Leagues Cup final. Seattle Sounders vs Inter Miami at Lumen Field. Naturally, the stakes were high and, to be honest, were mostly in favor of the away side, mostly for the reason we all know. But talk about the biggest flip in the script, as Miami ended up losing the final 3-0 with almost nothing going the Lionel Messi-led team’s way. And as if the loss in itself wasn’t enough, Luis Suarez made things worse. 

The Uruguayan star is in the negative limelight due to his aftermath antics, where he deliberately spat on a staff member of his rival team. It all came during a heated verbal exchange between the two sides. As a few members of both teams were arguing, Suarez ended up getting caught up with a Seattle staff person. While talking, the 37-year-old did the unthinkable and appeared to have spat on that very staff member.

This whole incident didn’t settle with the soccer community, who are expressing their disbelief on the internet.

Looks like the only acceptable apology for fans would be to see Luis Suarez get banned from not just the league but from the team as well, at least this fan says so. “Inter Miami CF, Luis Suarez must be penalized by the MLS and kicked out of the team. A Disgrace for the club’s image and the league!” wrote one. Meanwhile, this fan seems to have another interesting punishment for the Inter Miami number nine: “2-year suspension and 1 million dollar fine. Better yet, kick him out of football already. This guy will never learn.”
