Hot off of a solid debut at the domestic box office, the latest Stephen King adaptation of the year, The Long Walk, has already overtaken the entire lifetime haul of last year's acclaimed drama The Life of Chuck. Directed by Mike Flanagan, The Life of Chuck marked a rare detour into drama territory for the horror specialist; the movie was extremely well-received, winning the prestigious Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival. However, the positive reviews didn't translate into box office returns, and The Life of Chuckended up underperforming in its theatrical run, so much so that its haul that it was overtaken by The Long Walk in three days flat.
