It’s currently Weekend at Bernie’s on Capitol Hill, and Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell is looking like the new Bernie Lomax.

Red flags are continuing to be raised regarding Mitch McConnell and his obvious failing health after a video showed him looking like a smiling vegetable.

McConnell has reemerged after being out of the public eye following several health scares, and he was wheelchaired to Capitol Hill to cast a decisive vote in the Senate Agriculture Committee.

Desiree Thompson, who has been on McConnell watch, shared a video of the Kentucky Senator leaving, smiling, looking lost, and then throwing up a peace sign.

Townsend approached the ailing McConnell and asked, “Good for it?” referring to an interview, but he met her with silence; McConnell smiled and slowly turned his head to look at her.

“Any other bills you’re looking forward to?” Townsend asked McConnell. “Are we voting tonight, Senator?”

She got no answer, and two large security guards jumped in front of her camera, but she managed to raise her smartphone to keep recording, showing McConnell sitting there smiling before raising two fingers to make a peace sign.

“When can we expect you back, Senator?” Townsend followed up as McConnell’s door closed.

Social Media Believe What Is Taking Place With Mitch McConnell Is Elder Abuse

As you can imagine, the video is sparking plenty of reactions, with many calling for term limits and labeling what is going on with McConnell as elder abuse.

“This is so infuriating. Term limits should be non-negotiable,” wrote political commentator Sara Gonzales.

Podcaster Spencer Hakimian wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “He is a f— vegetable.”

“I remember going to the Brooklyn nursing home where my great grandma was and almost all of the residents looked like this,” said Lesley Abravanel, a former Miami Herald gossip columnist.

It’s clear that Republicans are too worried about losing power, so they will go to great lengths to keep it, even if that means using someone who is clearly incapacitated to do so.
