A workplace dispute on Shrinking has turned into a lawsuit, with crew member Mindy Tessa McKoin accusing Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Randall Winston of sexual harassment and wrongful termination, among other things. McKoin, a key second assistant director, filed the case after her July 2026 dismissal, seeking damages over several allegations tied to her work on the Apple TV comedy.

Shrinking’s Mindy Tessa McKoin has sued Warner Bros. Television

The lawsuit centers on an alleged incident at the Season 2 wrap party on June 22, 2024. McKoin claims Winston approached her while she sat at a bar and, without permission, grabbed and groped her left breast from behind, as per Deadline.

The actress says she later reported the alleged incident to her supervisor in late 2024 or early 2025. As per the filing, Warner Bros. received notice but did not take “corrective action” (via The Wrap).

The document also challenges the timing of McKoin’s termination. It states that Winston continued working on Shrinking through Season 4 and remained on set as recently as July 8, 2026, two days before McKoin lost her job. McKoin says she had never received disciplinary action during her three seasons with the production, with the filing noting she was “never disciplined or written up.”

The dispute reportedly escalated when McKoin questioned how her work and hours were being recorded. She says producers offered her the Key Second Assistant Director position for Season 4, despite the job previously being split between two people.

McKoin alleges she was not paid for all the time she worked and discovered that her timecard had been changed. After putting her concerns in writing, she says producers summoned her to a private meeting and confronted her over her behavior during an earlier tech scout.

The complaint says McKoin kept pushing back after discovering that production records allegedly did not fully account for work performed on two separate productions. She claims Warner Bros. told her it did not want to “make a big deal” over the issue and preferred to keep things “under the radar.”

The legal battle now includes Warner Bros. Television, Winston and several other defendants named in McKoin’s lawsuit. She is seeking financial damages for the alleged harm, including compensation tied to emotional distress and mental suffering.
