Shefali Jariwala's demise at the age of 42 has left TV industry in shock. The actress passed away on June 27 after suffering a cardiac arrest, say reports. Many of TV stars like Aly Goni, Kamya Panjabi, Rajiv Adatia, Divyanka Tripathi and others mourned the loss. Shefali Jariwala was known as The Kaanta Laga Girl. She was the one who featured in the remix of the original song from 1972 film Samadhi. She became an overnight sensation as the song was quite rebellious and bold for its time. But did you know that the Censor Board had objected to it? Even Salman Khan had warned the makers of Kaanta Laga.

Why did Salman Khan object to Kaanta Laga?

In an interview with the entertainment news section of Hindi Rush, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru spoke about Salman Khan advicing them to not create such bold songs. They revealed that they got a call from the Dabangg Khan who told them, "Main tumhe samjha raha hoon, yeh sexy kaam kam karo, achha nahi hota (I'm telling you cut down on these sexy songs, it's not good). You have such pure minds, don't waste them on this stuff." In fact, even Censor Board had objected to the bold visuals of Kaanta Laga. The makers were summoned by the Censor Board stating that the song has shook the 'moral fibre' of the nation. Kaanta Laga was the beginning of remixes! Post Shefali Jariwala's song, many other remix music videos of songs like Kaliyon Ka Chaman, Chadti Jawani and others came into existence.

What happened to Shefali Jariwala?

Shefali Jariwala reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at home. She was then rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead on arrival, say reports. Her mortal remains were sent to Cooper hospital for post mortem.

Investigation in Shefali Jariwala's death

As per reports, the police was informed late at night about Shefali Jariwala's demise. A forensics team was then sent to her home for further investigation.
