Ryan Reynolds has built a career on making people laugh, but apparently, one person who was not laughing at his antics was Denzel Washington. During a long interview reflecting on his career at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, Reynolds told the story of how he nearly derailed Washington’s big death scene in the 2012 thriller Safe House — all thanks to his phone. In addition to Washington and Reynolds, Safe House also stars Vera Farmiga, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Shepard, and Liam Cunningham.
