RNC Chairman Joe Gruters Discusses the Upcoming Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas – (VIDEO)

RNC Chairman Joe Gruters was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with guest host Jackie DeAngelis to talk about the upcoming Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Texas.

This will be the first time the GOP will be holding a midterm convention.

“Let’s talk a little bit about the messaging at this crucial event. Messaging is front and center,” DeAngelis said.

“The DSA voters, their heels are dug in, but you’ve got independents, you’ve got your base, you’ve got moderates that you still can sway. So, what is the tone gonna be, and what do you want to communicate to people out there who are thinking about what they are gonna do in November?” DeAngelis asked.

“The Democrats are relying on history. We’re relying on our voters, and voters out there, to see the clear difference. And so, we have to show the contrast,” Gruters said.

“This convention is just one way we are gonna, you know, defy history. We are doing things a little bit different. We are gonna put the President front and center. We are gonna show the contrast between the DSA, and what we are offering,” Gruters continued.

“This convention is gonna be an unbelievable experience. It’s gonna be politics in full volume for everybody out there,” Gruters said.

“This is the first time in history we are giving the American people the chance to come,” Gruters said.

“With President Trump headlining, some say he is the best communicator when he is talking to the American people. He knows how to speak to them, and he knows what the issues really are,” DeAngelis said.

“This idea of affordability is what the DSA has you know, grabbed onto, but their approach obviously is not gonna lead the nation to the solutions that we need,” DeAngelis continued.

“The President understands affordability is an issue, and he speaks to people directly about it,” DeAngelis continued.

“The President has been going to bat for the American people since day one. Five decades of politicians in DC have been selling out the American worker,” Gruters said.

“That’s why he passed the working family tax cuts, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime. That’s why he is trying to make sure we have fair trade deals. That’s why we have things like the Trump Rx accounts, which have reduced prescription drugs 3 to 500 percent,” Gruters explained.

“He wants everybody to have the chance at the American dream, and those are the things we’ve got to showcase at this convention,” Gruters said.
