Earlier this year, Rihanna – who already had two sons,RZA and Riot, with the award-winning rapper – stole the show at the Met Gala where she announced on the red carpet that she was expecting another baby.
On Wednesday evening, the We Found Love singer shared that she had given birth to a girl, posting a picture of herself cradling the newborn in bed.
She also revealed that the couple had named their daughter Rocki Irish Mayers (in an apparent nod to her dad’s stage name), and that she was born last week, on 13 September.
Rihanna announced she was pregnant on the Met Ball red carpetRihanna gave birth to her first son, RZA, in May 2022, and announced less than a year later, during a performance at the 2023 Super Bowl, that a second child was on the way, welcoming another son, Riot, in August of that year.
At the Met Ball in May, Rocky shared his excitement at becoming a dad of three, telling AP: “It feels amazing, you know. It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we [are] definitely happy, you know.”
Days later, he made an appearance on Seth Meyers’ US talk show, where he confirmed that the couple intended to carry on the tradition of giving their next baby a name that began with the letter R, like the rest of the family.
