One of the most underrated Netflix movies of the last few years is The Dig, starring Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes as two characters from entirely different backgrounds who bond over a treasure hunt during World War II. The movie is thrilling, heartwarming, and ultimately uplifting. More recently, Fiennes headlined a film that serves as a neat little companion piece to The Dig, although this one takes place against the backdrop of World War I and features the Oscar nominee as a choirmaster who recruits townsfolk to express dissent via music. It received mostly positive reviews, but it's the kind of film that truly finds its audience on streaming. Good news: it's coming to Netflix soon.
