PS5 Version of Hugely Popular Sandbox Game Gets Release Date

The PS5 version of a hugely popular “hyper-realistic” sandbox game finally has a release date, and it’s coming surprisingly soon. Racing game BeamNG.drive first launched on PC in 2015. The game will now launch in early access on the PS5.

‘Hyper-realistic’ sandbox racing game BeamNG.drive coming to PS5 in October 2026

BeamNG will be available on the PS5 on October 19, 2026. The game will take advantage of PSSR on the PS5 Pro, and support FSR 3 on the base console.

“With its unique soft-body physics engine, PlayStation 5 players will be able to simulate every component of a vehicle in real time,” developer BeamNG wrote. “Explore expansive open-world environments, experiment with a vast selection of customizable vehicles, and create your own true-to-life driving experiences.”

BeamNG is up to wishlist on the PS Store. The game isn’t free-to-play, but does receive free updates every few months.

“BeamNG.drive arrives on PlayStation 5 around the same time as the version 0.40 update comes to its PC version,” the studio added. “Aside from visual improvements and other general fixes, this specific update delivers a brand-new vehicle available from day one, and local split-screen support.”

BeamNG’s PS5 price has not been revealed yet. We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
