Panzer Dragoon II Zwei headed to Sony’s platforms for the first time with upcoming PS5, PS4 remake

Brought to you by developers MegaPixel Studio and Storm Trident, and publisher Forever Entertainment, Panzer Dragoon 2 Remake will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2025, per an announcement spotted by Gematsu. It’s likely that a release date will be shared during the event.

For the uninitiated, rail shooter Panzer Dragoon 2 originally released in 1996 for Sega Saturn. It was widely praised by players and critics, and considered a massive improvement over the first game.

The remake will bring Panzer Dragoon 2 to PlayStation platforms for the first time. New features include remastered and original music arranged by Saori Kobayashi, enhanced visuals, and both classic and modern controls.

“Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake is a refreshed edition of the second entry in the legendary rail shooter series, taking you into a unique world where ancient ruins, imperial power, and mysterious creatures shape the fate of an entire continent,” an official description reads.

We’ll update our readers when a release date is announced.
