PS5 Players Can Now Try Surprise Hit 2025 Games for Free

PS5 players can try a pair of fantastic 2025 games, one of which has yet to launch on the console, for free via the PS Store. PS5 and PS4 demos for Marvel Cosmic Invasion, and a PS5 demo for Nitro Gen Omega are now available to all players — no strings attached.

Developed by Tribute Games and published by DotEmu, Marvel Cosmic Invasion launched in December 2025 to positive reviews. Both PS5 and PS4 players can now access the following for free: nine playable superheroes (Nova, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, Captain America, Storm, Venom, She-Hulk, and Rocket Raccoon) and two playable levels (New York City and Helicarrier).

You can play the demo solo or enjoy local multiplayer (PS Plus not required).

Nitro Gen Omega is a sandbox RPG that’s currently in early access on Steam, where it has earned positive reviews from players. The game will launch on the PS5 on May 12, 2026.

Nitro Gen Omega’s PS5 demo is out now, but its PS Store listing doesn’t mention what it entails.

“Humanity has lost the war. The wastelands are now crawling with rogue AI and scavenging war machines,” an official overview reads. “You and your mercenary crew fight to survive, taking on contracts from the last remaining cities built high above the wasteland.”

PS Plus Premium members can cloud stream both demos.
