PS5 update

Sony has rolled out another firmware update for a PS5 accessory, this time, for the Pulse Elite headset. This is the third accessory firmware update this week, and although patch notes have not been released, today’s update might be good news for Pulse Elite headset owners.

Firmware update for PS5 Pulse Elite headset follows Pulse Explore and PS Link updates

A day ago, we reported that both PS5 Pulse Explore wireless earbuds and PS Link USB adapter were quietly updated. Since there was no official information available, we assumed that the update had something to do with the release of a new PC driver that allows players to manage their audio accessories via a PC without turning on their PS5.

We have since heard from some readers that they are no longer experiencing disconnection issues with their Pulse Explore earbuds, which has us hoping that this is exactly what today’s firmware update for the Pulse Elite does.

The pricey Pulse Elite, which replaced the cheaper Pulse 3D, is often the subject of complaints, with most of the complaints centered on disconnection issues. Numerous workarounds and fixes have been suggested by players, but there isn’t a confirmed solution that works for everyone.

We’ll keep an eye out for more information and update our readers if something comes up.
