Primetime: Chris Hansen Shares His Review of Robert Pattinson Movie After Finally Seeing It

Chris Hansen has shared his reaction to Robert Pattinson movie on him. He took to social media to share his views about Primetime on Have A Seat With Chris Hansen!

The movie stars Robert Pattinson as Hansen, the host of the show To Catch A Predator. Hansen has said he was not consulted during the film’s production, and did not see how he would be portrayed before the film was released.

Among the many remarks that he made about the movie, Hansen said, “Obviously I’m not objective, because the character is, you know, me. But it was so detached from reality or anything that I’ve ever experienced then or now, doing the investigations, I’m not sure what the point of it was.”

Chris Hansen’s reaction comes after months of public pushback

Hansen has criticized the movie for not consulting him during its production. He had made his grievances public but said the production never contacted him about them.

A24 had, however, offered him an opportunity to screen Primetime, but Hansen said the NDA he would have had to sign was unreasonably restrictive. According to the studio, it was a standard NDA to prevent any plot leaks. However, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the agreement presented to Hansen was unusually restrictive and went far beyond the terms typically found in a standard NDA.

Before the film’s theatrical release, Hansen shared his concerns about the movie. According to the To Catch A Predator host, what he had heard about the movie was insulting. Based on the trailer and what he had heard about the movie, he believed it was portraying a fictionalized version of events under his name.

He stated, “I think it’s an insult to the thousands of men and women who work hard every day to protect children from predators. They turn something that is very positive, very challenging and not without risk into what is essentially a horror film.”

Primetime is currently playing in the theaters.
