Patriots Are ‘Getting a Monster’, Says Rookie Ja’Lynn Polk Before Being Drafted by Jerod Mayo in the 2024 NFL Draft

The New England Patriots hired Drake Maye but severely needed to create a strong backing in the wide receiver department for him as well. That’s why they went ahead to hire Washington Huskies’ WR Ja’Lynn Polk with the 37th overall pick. Coach Jerod Mayo seems focused on rebuilding the New England side, eyeing yet another possible legacy for the team.

In Polk’s case, coming off a 1,159-yard season and 9 touchdowns, the receiver is among one of the best prospects coming out of college. But before even being drafted to the league, Polk was very confident about what he brought to the league.

The wideout didn’t get drafted in the first round but seemed highly enthusiastic about his chances to make it to the league. He spoke to a KPRC 2 reporter and spilled out the beans before the draft. Expressing his confidence and excitement, Polk told KPRC 2, “They’re getting a monster, a guy who loves the game, a guy who loves everything.”

“I’m married to it and I’m looking forward to doing legendary stuff and contributing to the team so we can win a lot of games. It’s a blessing. I’m ready for the opportunity. I’m excited and eager to go out there on the field and show the world who I am and what I can do as a player and, even better, show people who I am as a person,” added Polk.
