Pamela Anderson is shutting down speculation that she and Liam Neeson faked a romantic relationship to promote their latest film.
Over the summer, the Baywatch icon appeared alongside Liam in the reboot The Naked Gun, with reports in the press around the release suggesting that a relationship had blossomed between the two on set.
Last week, however, TMZ published a piece quoting supposed “sources” who claimed that reports of the romance were “cooked up” by the actors’ PR teams as well as The Naked Gun’s production company, Paramount.
While People later published a follow-up piece quoting a “source” of its own who claimed that “everything between them has been genuine”, Pamela alluded to the reports herself while appearing at the Deauville American Film Festival on Friday.

Receiving the Deauville Talent Award, Pamela said during her speech: “I do not and will never feed into PR stunts. That would be a death sentence. I’m authentically driven.
“I’m superstitious when it comes to love. And I’m not comfortable sharing any shred of my romantic life.”
The former Dancing On Ice star added: “I know I’ll fall in love again and again on screen. That is my job. If we do it well, you will feel it, a kind of projection. It is the greatest compliment
“So, please think positive. And I appreciate your good wishes. There are no silly games being played. I’m sincere.”
She added: “Do not mistake my kindness for weakness or my boldness for bitterness.
“I’m here on this journey, not for money or for fame, but to see what I’m made of in truth, hard work and to leave behind an honest legacy my family can be proud of.”
Reports of a romance between the two Hollywood stars generated a lot of conversation earlier this year – with Liam’s late wife’s sister even appearing to give the pair her personal seal of approval.
