The Indiana Pacers have started reshaping their roster for the upcoming 2025–26 season, beginning with the signing of veteran guard Monte Morris. As ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on X, “Free agent guard Monte Morris has agreed to a one-year deal with the Indiana Pacers, Andy Shiffman and Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Entering his ninth NBA season, Morris provides backcourt depth to the Pacers.”

Morris, now entering his ninth season, comes off a year with the Phoenix Suns where he appeared in 45 games. In Indiana, he’s set to take on a pivotal role, especially with Tyrese Haliburton sidelined for next season.

On the other side of the roster shuffle, center Thomas Bryant has moved on, signing a one-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his lone season with Indiana, Bryant averaged 8.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. With Bryant gone and Morris stepping in, the Pacers are reshaping their depth chart to balance experience as the new season approaches.
