One of the greatest pop culture tragedies of the 2000s was the cancellation of Joss Whedon’s Firefly after just one season. This sci-fi TV show featured a wide variety of relatable characters, deserving to live a long run due to its endless storytelling possibilities. Sadly, this wasn’t the case, and the show gained cult status almost as soon as it was cancelled. But, if you want to look at the bright side, there was a benefit – unseen at the time – to Firefly having been canceled after one stellar 14-episode season.
